Patient Satisfaction Survey Results - 2nd Quarter 2009

Patient satisfaction scores have improved steadily since UMPhysicians took over management of the specialty clinics at University of Minnesota Medical Center in 2003. By the end of 2008,  75.8% of patients in the specialty clinics we manage  strongly agreed with the statement, “I would recommend this clinic to my friends,” and the average score for all clinics combined was 72.5%. The score for "Agree" and "Strongly Agree " responses combined is 99.3% for all clinics that we own or manage in the first quarter of 2009.These are significant improvements. In fact, on the 2008 survey clinics showed improvement over 2007 results on all twenty questions, most notably in keeping patients informed about wait times. Clinic management, medical directors and staff and the Performance Improvement team have all played a part in this accomplishment. Their efforts continue and are focused on efficiency, communication and service to our patients.
