Treatments and Procedures
Our physicians offer a comprehensive array of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and consultation including:
- Birth control counseling
- Gynecologic surgery, including laparoscopy (surgery using small incisions, leading to a shorter recovery time), hysterectomy and sterilization
- Obstetric and gynecologic ultrasounds, including early testing for birth defects and 3D/4D imaging when indicated
- Chorionic Villi Sampling – Early testing for birth defects
- Amniocentesis – Testing for birth defects; testing to see if fetal lungs are ready for delivery
- Sono-hysterograms – Specialized ultrasound for diagnosing problems inside the uterus
- Office hysteroscopy – Fiber-optics used to see inside the uterus
- LEEP procedures – Treatment for cervical dysplasia (‘pre-cancer’ of the cervix)
- Essure tubal sterilization – ‘Tying the tubes’ without surgical incisions
- Colposcopy – Evaluation of abnormal Pap smears
- DEXA Scans – Assessment for osteoporosis
- VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) - performed by our Certified Nurse Midwives
- TOLAC (trial of labor after cesarean)
